Issy Burnup

Issy Burnup is an 18 year-old mini-skirt wearer, sparkly boots lover singer-songwriter. Originally from Airlie Beach, QLD she has moved to Brisbane to study music at JMC Academy and pursue her music career. Originally being influenced by 60’s and 70’s rock she was turned onto country music when she played at the Tamworth Country Music Festival in 2015. Since then she has played a wide variety of shows from pub gigs, to playing with Kasey Chambers, Lyn Bowtell and Sara Storer, to performing at the Toyota Park Opening Concert of the Tamworth Country Music Festival 2019. Just this year she has graduated from the Senior Academy of Country Music where she played in the band as a guitarist, singer and ukulele player. Her current music style is hard to define but is described by most as a ‘vintage’ sound.
