Hailing from the tropical city of Cairns, dub reggae funk band, MANUKA, merge lush electronic sounds, fat bass, huge drums, sleek guitar and rich keys, with powerful vocals that carry lyrics about deep consciousness, culture, desire and the environment.From 2018 to the present, Manuka have performed at many huge festivals, including Kuranda Roots Festival, Rootbound Festival, Wallaby Creek Festival and Cairns Festival, as well as at plenty of intimate shows in their home city of Cairns. They are excited to be spreading their wings as they take their unique sound beyond their home city. The band have so far proven themselves to be a dynamic outfit that never fails to get people on the dance floor, taking their audience on a journey that rides flowing, groove-based rhythms, catchy hooks and melodic interludes, whilst getting deep down into those Irie reggae pockets.The band is taking their music to a new level in 2021, aiming over the horizon to the dance floors beyond.
