The Tent Is Up For 2023

Unforgettable Performances Await with headliners Ian Moss, Dragon, King Stingray, The Superjesus and Ross Wilson taking the Mainstage.

The tent is going up, and the countdown has begun! The 11th annual Airlie Beach Festival of Music is on the horizon, and it’s gearing up to be unlike any other music event in Australia. From the 9th to the 12th of November 2023, this musical extravaganza will take place in the breathtaking setting of The Whitsundays, right on the oceanfront at the Whitsunday Sailing Club.

More Than 50 Acts Across 15 Venues

Prepare for over 50 electrifying acts to grace our stages this year, featuring a captivating mix of industry legends and rising stars. The 2023 Main Stage lineup promises unforgettable performances, including:

– Friday 10 Nov: Ian Moss, Frenzal Rhomb, Pierce Brothers, Skunkhour and Tanya George

– Saturday 11 Nov: King Stingray, The Superjesus, Chocolate Starfish, Bourbon Street and The Pigs

– Sunday 12 Nov: Ross Wilson, Dragon, Billy Field, Wanita and James Bennett

Supporting the Main Stage acts, are 14 venues across Airlie Beach hosting live music from morning till night, ensuring there’s something for everyone’s musical taste. From performances at KC’s Bar and Grill, home of the ‘World’s Best Steak,’ to the beachfront paradise at Fish D’Vine, and breakfast acts at Airlie Beach Treehouse and Whisper Restaurant and Gin Bar. Whitsunday Food Garden, will showcase the region’s brightest emerging talents with a Young Performer stage.

Get ready to groove with us! Secure a three-day Festival pass at just $300, granting access to all the live performance venues from Friday to Sunday (10th-12th November). Plus, access to the Passport To Airlie Showcase Finals on Thursday, November 9th, and the Festival after-party at Northerlies Beach Bar and Grill on Monday, November 13th.

Rock Music Icons Under the Big Tent

This year, we’re breaking records! Celebrating a collective 150 years of Australian rock music legends, Ross Wilson and The Peaceniks to the iconic Dragon and the legendary Ian Moss, taking the stage under the Big Tent.

On receiving the call “Wanna go play at Airlie Beach?”. Rock legend, Ross Wilson replied, “You betcha, vibe plus. Like, who wouldn’t?”

“I’m bringing my hot shot band The Peaceniks with me and we’re really looking forward to rocking out at The Whitsunday’s biggest, bestest music event The Airlie Beach Festival of Music. What are we gonna play? A bit of Daddy Cool, some Mondo Rock and some newies too – it’s a festival!!” Mr Wilson said.

Making Way for Emerging Talent

The Passport to Airlie Finals will dominate the main stage on opening night, Thursday 9, November, following a 10-month national competition with over 300 entrants. From the highly-contested heats, eight finalists emerged, representing the best of the best in Australian music:
